Incentives-a-go-go!
Like other campus/community radio stations, CJSW relies on money raised through an annual funding drive to sustain the station. Why? We are an independent radio station that chooses not to inundate our listeners with endless advertisements and the same dozen songs a hundred times a day.
During the weeks leading up to Funding Drive, your pals at CJSW solicit local businesses for “swag” -- coveted items that we use to entice you to pledge money to the station. The real incentive is incredible CJSW radio 365 days a year. However, we like to sweeten the deal by rewarding as many pledges as we can with fun and useful (or completely frivolous) items.
There is a base amount of incentives available to all shows (please see the second list below). However, DJs will often bring in an additional batch of incentives that they’ve used their own money and connections to secure. You will receive the following sassy swag if you are one of the first callers to pledge and specify your interested prize pack on Shindig!.

CJSW will take cash, debit, cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, as well as monthly subscription payments. Supporters may pay by the month (December - September) if they pledge a minimum of $100 ($10 per month). Pledgers who choose this option must bring in their bank branch info and either a void cheque or Direct Debit authorization form filled out and initialled by their bank.

Welcome to Shindig!
Aubrey’s Shindig! is Calgary’s new music hour. It broadcasts each Monday night from 9-10pm mountain time on Calgary’s beloved CJSW 90.9 FM. You can also tune in via streaming audio at www.cjsw.com. The show is hosted by Aubrey, a rock journalist who has been neck-deep in the music scene since the early ’90s.
CJSW is a campus/community radio station run by a bunch of savvy punk rockers based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. From the 70-year-old blues disc jockey to the turntablists spinning electro to our thought-provoking spoken word hosts, we’re all punk rock at heart and informed authorities on whatever we air. Our station is currently used as a model campus/community radio station for our fantastic peers across Canada and the USA. We have a discerning listenership whose loyalty we treasure. Additionally, we’re proud partners with some of the most exciting cultural movers and shakers in the Canadian arts community.
Shindig! aspires to be a fun new music hour jam-packed with highlights from the best new albums of the week. It’s also a swell introduction to the wonderful world of CJSW programming. So, if you’re a student looking for audio motivation while doing homework or if you’re sitting at home or in a car itching for music that’ll get your heart thumping again, this is your show. Featuring carefully selected artist profiles and CD giveaways for albums that haven’t yet hit store shelves, Shindig! will introduce you to the most dazzling leaders in music today.
